Michaela's work can be seen as almost somewhat primitive, yet it comprises a stillness that gives all of the sculptures a quiet powerful dignity. HER work can be seen as bringing the essence of prehistoric artefacts into the 21st century.

Stone Carving
Michaela was born in Germany and lives now in England. She studied at the stone carving academy in Pietrasanta, Carrara Italy. Her lifetime enthusiasm for old cultures is the inspiration for her work. Journeys to Africa, Asia and Europe and living in Cyprus, South of France and England gave her deep insight into the old beliefs and the depiction in stone.
Creative process has healing quality
Michaela has been an instructor for stone carving in Siegburg, Germany, at the Cyprus College of Art in Cyprus and in Beziers in the south of France. Michaela believes in the healing powers of stone carving and that the creative process has very relaxing quality for the body and soul
