About Michaela

I have always been drawn to the quiet beauty of things made by hand.

Wool, old stories, nature, folklore and the atmosphere of another time all find their way into my work.

I work between weaving and textile sculpture, creating handwoven textiles and the Quiet Women — a growing collection of handmade figures, each with her own character and quiet.

I am interested in the things that ask us to slow down and pay attention.

The texture of wool.

The rhythm of weaving.

A garden changing through the seasons.

Something gathered from a hedgerow.

A small ritual repeated every day.

My work is an invitation into that quieter world.
