Three handmade woolen dolls holding dried flowers and twigs.

Quiet Women - Each woman has her own quiet.

The Quiet Women are a limited collection of anonymous textile figures, each made by hand and each embodying a different way of being.

They are inspired by the quieter things in life: attention, patience, home, nature, making and the small rituals that often go unnoticed.

Each woman has her own character, colours and world.

The collection is growing slowly, one woman at a time.

 Reserved for exhibition

31th October, Chichele College, English Heritage, Higham Ferrers

Mabel, The Gatherer

 Her quiet is Attention.

Agnes, The Gardener

Elsbeth, The Keeper of the Hearth

Mabel, The Gatherer

 Her quiet is Patience.

Agnes understands that some things cannot be hurried.

She belongs to gardens, growing things and the changing seasons.

Elsbeth, The Keeper of the Hearth

Elsbeth, The Keeper of the Hearth

Elsbeth, The Keeper of the Hearth

 Her quiet is Home.

Elsbeth belongs to the warmth of familiar things, everyday rituals and the feeling of having somewhere to return to.

The Quiet Women Collection

Each Quiet Woman is accompanied by textiles that belong to her world — woven pieces, colours and textures that extend her story beyond the figure itself.

The women will continue to appear as the collection grows.
